Edenfield Pumptrack
We were appointed to design and build a pump track in an area of park land in Edenfield, Rossendale. This comprised of a 55m beginner track with associated drainage, landscaping, and signage.
The design was developed to suit beginner users whilst blending seamlessly with the surrounding. Before commencing construction the project team installed site Heras fencing around the perimeter of the site ensuring safety during the construction process. To minimise environmental impact access to the site was carefully created by excavating through the banking from the road.
This approach aimed to preserve the tree canopies and overall ecosystem integrity. The project incorporated a carefully considered drainage system. This system efficiently managed water run-off by directing it towards water loving willow trees located to the south of the site. This environmentally conscious approach not only ensured proper water management but also contributed to the health and preservation of local vegetation.
Primary aggregates were utilised on this occasion due to the close proximity of the quarry to site, reducing transportation costs and environmental impact.
