Ashlyns School skills area

This must be the best value project we have ever created. Ashlyns School was facing a huge cost to remove approximately 6,000 tonnes of subsoil as a result of a foundation dig for a new building. For the same cost we sculpted a mountain bike skills trail and a pump track!

The team started this project with a large excavator moving material to the desired location on site, whilst some of the team installed a drainage system. A smaller excavator then shaped the dirt into turns, berms and rollers with a crew following behind tweaking and compacting. Lastly the subsoil was surfaced with 150mm of Primary Limestone and 0-4mm Stonedust.
